NTT -BRL Advisory Board

NTT Basic Research Laboratories (BRL) has the Advisory Board that is an external evaluation committee. NTT BRL convenes Advisory Board Meeting once every about two years with board members, NTT executives and BRL managers.
The Advisory Board seeks to

  1. Evaluate research plans and achievements objectively and in a timely manner
  2. Reinforce systematic research cooperation with the board-member organizations

 

Prof. Michel H. Devoret (member of the 1st and 2nd Advisory Boards) and Prof. John Clarke (member of the 7th to 9th Advisory Boards) have been awarded the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics. Prof. Clarke has also had a long-standing relationship with BRL, serving as the main lecturer at the BRL School and contributing to our scientific community over the years. In addition, Prof. John M. Martinis, who shared the prize, delivered talks at our international conferences as a Plenary Speaker at MS+S 2004 and an Invited Speaker at ISNTT 2009.
We sincerely congratulate the laureates on their remarkable achievements.
