The contribution of NTT Access Network Service Systems Laboratories to OSS includes implementing a function that abstracts the authentication method of IEEE-compliant access systems for NEM, which is a component of SEBA. The lower part of Fig. 3 shows the functional parts of NEM related to the operation workflow, and the parts newly implemented as OSS are shown within the red frame. XOS in NEM has a function to control and manage OLT / ONU hardware according to the configuration file. We have implemented a workflow for MAC address authentication and IEEE802.1X authentication based on the IEEE specifications in the difference abstraction unit. The upper part of Fig. 3 shows the management GUI of parameters related to authentication, and ONU management is realized by inputting authentication parameters from this screen.
