3.Network configurations

IP packets are transmitted transparently between WTs and the AP.
The AP has an interface (MC: media converter) to connect to an optical fiber. In WIPAS, the AP can also communicate to an IP network using a wireless circuit (P-P communications*).

* P-P communications has two configurations, one is the AP (uses cassegrain antenna)-to-WT configuration, and the other is the WT-to-WT configuration. The WT-to-WT configuration is only used for P-P communications, and has a different transmission speed than the usual P-MP communications. The transmission speed of the AP-to-WT configuration is the same as that for P-MP communications.
