2.Equipment appearance

The external appearance of the WIPAS STEP 2 equipment is shown in Fig. 2. The AP-RFU antenna can be changed according to the service type. The weight of the AP-IFU for STEP 2 is half that for STEP 1.
The WT was significantly reduced in size and weight by combining the antenna / RF module (RFU) and base-band processing modules (IFU), and by adopting a compact flat antenna. A WT-adapter is used to connect to a user PC.
