Where IOWN and AI Meet Quantum Computing

There is growing anticipation that quantum computers may become practical earlier than previously expected.

The year 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of quantum science and has also been designated by the Japanese government as the first year of quantum industrialization.

Our theme this year, “Quantum Leap,” reflects not only the original notion of a leap in quantum mechanics, but also our commitment to drive transformative progress in business and beyond.

At the NTT R&D Forum, we will showcase IOWN 2.0 optical computing technologies, an enhanced version of NTT’s proprietary generative AI “tsuzumi,” and explore the future of optical quantum computing.

Stay tuned to discover how IOWN and AI will evolve through integration with quantum computing.

From JR Mitaka Station (Chuo Line) – North Exit Take a bus from Mitaka Station North Exit (approx. 10 minutes):

  • At bus stop No.1, take a bus bound for "Kitaura", "Musashiseki-eki" or "Tanashi-hashiba" and get off at "Musashino Shiyakusho-mae". It takes 5 minutes to walk from the bus stop to the Center.
  • At bus stop No.4, take a bus bound for "NTT Musashino Kenkyukaihatsu Center", and get off at "NTT Musashino Kenkyukaihatsu Center.
